If you would like to avoid the hustle and
bustle of the city center, you may prefer the
quieter town of Somerset West with its
relaxing atmosphere and scenic surround.
It is very centrally situated with easy access
to Cape Town (30 minutes), the safe for
swimming and ideal surfing Strand beach
(5-10 minutes), the university town of
Stellenbosch and it`s the many wine farms
(15 minutes) and about 20 minutes from the
Cape Town International Airport. It boasts
one of the Country`s biggest shopping malls
and has many excellent restaurants and
coffee shops to indulge in.
Situated high against the Helderberg
Mountain, bordering the vineyards of
Stellenbosch and overlooking the warmer
Indian Ocean beaches, this house has a
unique `country feeling` while still very close
to all amenities.
It is an ideal family home which offers
something that everyone from young to old
will enjoy. In the tranquil garden, you can
relax next to the pool on one of 6 hammocks
and the kids can jump on the trampoline or
take a refreshing swim. With 3 barbeque
areas, meals can easily be prepared and
served in- or outside, while enjoying the
good weather for which Somerset West is
known for. Even when it is windy on the
close-by beaches, it is often completely
wind free here because of the shelter of the
mountain.
The house has 4 bedrooms of which 3 have
en-suite bathrooms and superior quality
extra length queen or king size beds. The
4th bedroom, which is upstairs next to the
main bedroom, has a three-quarter bed and
an adjacent bathroom. Most bathrooms
have a bidet and/or extra large baths in
addition to nice showers.
This double storey house with its features
exceptional, panoramic mountain and sea
views. It can comfortably accommodate up
to 7 people.
In the lounge you will also find plenty to do.
The dining room table can easily be
converted into a table tennis and
pool/billiard table. The big L-shape leather
coach can seat 8 people in front of the large
3D TV with satellite, CD/DVD blue-ray
player etc. Should you be musically inclined,
you are welcome to use the piano.
The spacious and well equipped kitchen
leads out onto a glass enclosed large
balcony which in turns opens up on to a
huge wooden deck with patio furniture.
On the same property there is also a
separate fully equipped 2 bedroom cottage,
accommodating 4 people that can be rented
independently or together with the house.

warmer beaches, sample wine in the
vineyards, go shopping or to movies or just
relax and barbeque by the pool, this is the
ideal holiday home for your stay in the
Cape.
